Can't win 'em all

Everything can't be perfect. But I came really close to feeling special (in a nice way) this morning: i noticed that i'm running out of gas in the car and need to fill up so i pulled into this esso station where they don't even have air miles but they were on the right side of the street, not like shell - they have air miles - which was on the other side of the street and when someone's driving to the go station there is no time to waste. So i figured my morning coffee has to be postponed because i'm spending Timmis (is that how you spell it? or is it Timmy's? or Timmi's..or Timmys?) time at esso. And a miracle happened: a Tim Hortons was called into existence inside the Esso station! So i got my doulble double with milk, paid for gas and left.

At the GO station i was looking at the snow covered grass patches to see where's the best place to illegally park my car. I'm very cautious nowdays after a $140 ticket for "obstructing traffic". I tell you what's obstructing traffic: bloody school buses and the 3800 cars of the parking enforcment people and their fat asses.
Anyhow, i was gettin desperate becauase all the good curb spots were taken and another miracle happened: i found a parking spot. It was about 10 inches wider than the car. I guess the guy on the right will have to wait for me:)

Waiting for a train is a good time to think about useless stuff. Since I have this blog now, i thought i would add an entry about my day. Just for the fun of it. So here it is:
  • 6:02 Dog woke me up. She licked my face like i'm candy. Rachel put her in her house (aka: the cage). I immediatly fell back asleep.
  • 7:23 I woke up again.
  • 7:48 I got up.
  • 7:49 - 8:20 Went to the washroom, sleep-walked around the house for 2 minutes, then i remembered that it's a good time to feed the animals. Then i took a shower, and took the pooch for a walk. She loooves the snow! And it's a nice morning walk for me too. And i also looove the snow. Then puppy got a small pig ear, then i left home.
  • 8:21 - 9:02 See the beginning of this post.
  • 9:04 Cancel all the miracles. They gave me coffee with cream. And i'm having a cream cheese bagel with it. Last time i had so much cream...well...there wasn't a happy ending.
  • 9:08 - 9:29 GO (tm) to Toronto's magnificent and overcrowded Union Station.
  • 9:30 - 9:48 Speed walk to work. It's cold
  • 9:49 - 10:18 Check emails, start working and blog a little. Now it's time to focus on work only.
  • 16:23 Drinking coffee & workin' hard. Rachel called to say that she is going to hang out at Jen's so i'd better get my ass home in time to feed Daisy.
  • 17:05 Leaving work. Short and cold walk back to the station
  • 17:34 - 17:56 GO train GO (this in an inside joke for people living in the GTA)

Life Sentence,
No Parole

Murderers and rapists get out of jail over time. A chained dog serves a life sentence with no parole only because he is a dog while all he wants is to be with you and give you his unconditional love.

You agree this is wrong, don't you? Then you say "that's too bad", sigh, and move on. Do something about it. Please. Donate to Dogs Deserve Better to help unchain dogs and provide a kind, more loving life for them.

They are unseen. Forgotten. Alone. Forever. On a chain. Dying in the back yard of humans.
