Snowboarding

We went falling this weekend with Marcel but we ended up snowboarding a few times too.

He had this crazy idea that this year he was going to snowboard and bought all the equipment. On Friday he asked me if i wanted to go and on Saturday we were snowboarding. There has been no snow yet this winter but let's ignore this minor detail for now. We drove up past Barrie to the Horseshoe Resort, i rented a snowboard and boots and before we know it we're up on top of the highest hill...no, not really, it was a very small hill for beginners...and the next thing i know i'm off the snow in the muddy grass on my ass, my gloves (not ski gloves) are soaked, i cannot crawl back to the snow and it's raining. I heard the little voices in my head telling me that well...it looks a lot different on tv. Seriously, it took us like 30 minutes to get down that mini hill. We were not happy.

Miraclously the second time was a lot better. I only fell 3 times! The third time was even better. Then I wiped out and hit my ass really hard. It's been 3 days since that fall but it still hurts to sit. Next time i will wear a butt pad. And a wrist guard. And knee pads. And a helmet. And good gloves. Next time.

No one can take Daisy now!

We have paid off the last installment of our dog so we are no longer leasing her - Daisy is ours! This is awesome!
Now we probably should get insurance for her. Less awesome.

Go RONA Go!

I found a RONA close to where we live. It's even closer than Home Depot..and as i was walking arond inside I saw a Tim Hortons down the aisle! Goodbye Home Depot, from now on i'm giving my money to the company that has a Timmies inside:-)

Poor spider

Scraps was playing with a spider on the floor. He is not sure how to eat a spider. He also had to spend a week wearing a cone after a spiderbite/operation. He had been playing with the spider for like 5 minutes when Daisy noticed, she ran over and sucked up the spider in a second. Ways to ruin a cat's game. ps: Sorry spider.

Life Sentence,
No Parole

Murderers and rapists get out of jail over time. A chained dog serves a life sentence with no parole only because he is a dog while all he wants is to be with you and give you his unconditional love.

You agree this is wrong, don't you? Then you say "that's too bad", sigh, and move on. Do something about it. Please. Donate to Dogs Deserve Better to help unchain dogs and provide a kind, more loving life for them.

They are unseen. Forgotten. Alone. Forever. On a chain. Dying in the back yard of humans.
